It has been a long road but you two have made a beautiful baby boy. The road ahead may not be an easy one, but it will be well worth it in the end. I know I teased you about being too young to be a grandfather, but I am a very proud and happy grandfather. Be strong and keep postive thoughts as Gabe is a fighter and things will be fine. It really looks like you have a great support group behind you....I can see it thru all the heart felt messages that are left. Gabe is a strong little boy. Look who he has for parents. He has the will to fight and will to win, I loved seeing all the pics since I couldn't be there. God is looking down on him and taking care of him.....Gabe is testing your nerves already....Ha Ha! He's saying 'mom and dad' just wait, this is just the beginning, wait until I'm 3 and then 13.....you think its bad now....I'm gonna keep you 2 on your toes...I love you all and my prayers are with you. I will talk to you soon. Tell Gabe gramma loves him and thinks about him all the time. I love you both too.

Nate and Corin,
We are happy to hear that Gabriel has been doing better over the past couple of days. Even though he is not home with you on his first Thanksgiving, you are by his side, giving thanks for all the miracles you have been given. When I first heard of Gabriel's condition Saturday night after speaking with mom, my heart sank- as I knew how grave the conditon could be. Thankfully he has pulled through, and is doing much better now. He gave his parents and doctors a great challenge, but all have succeeded in getting him through his first few days of life, and they will continue to heal him so he can come home soon. He has been lucky to have the best doctors and medical care, but most importantly wonderful parents and a supportive family. We wish Gabriel good health and lots of love on his first Thanksgiving.

We just looked at all the pictures. The kids said he is cute. Eric said Awwwwwwww. Can't wait to hold him and smell that baby smell. You are in our daily thoughts and prayers. You have a lot of people pulling for you and you have a little fighter on your hands. Stay strong and just know that we love you guys and are here if you need anything. Hes Beautiful! But we already knew that. Thank you so much Nathan and Corin for setting up this carepage. it is nice to be able to get updates and pictures of my new GREAT nephew (and wonderful too). i can't wait to see him in person. I pray every morning and every evening and in between as well. If you see Santa. Please tell him all i want for Christmas if for Gabriel to be home and in your arms. do not feel you are alone in this. we are all praying for his quick recovery and thinking of you every waking moment of our daily lives. please just look into Gabriel's eyes and tell him he is so loved. we miss you all.

I hope I haven't forgotten how to type. It's been so long since I've had my fingers on a keyboard...Laurie has just shown me the pictures of little Gabriel. He is so beautiful even with all the equipment attached to him. I think of the three of you constantly and pray for you often during the day and even wake up at night with you all on my mind. I have everybody at church praying for you as well as many of my friends who don't go. God hears all prayers though. Hopefully, by this time next week you'll be back home Take good care of yourself and give little Gabe a kiss for me. Paul is praying for you at the nursing home and the staff and nurses inquire about your condition daily. We love you very much. Shirley

Hey, it is great news that Gabe is doing better, and stronger. Hopefully he will have his surgery on monday and will be home with you 2 very soon........I love you 3 very much and I can't wait to see all of you. My prayers are with you all. I will call you Corin on sunday. Make sure you 2 get some rest, you need to be the strength for that lil guy. Even tho he is strong and a fighter, he needs you 2 to be just as strong. Hi, Briefly, hundreds of people are praying for him and Mass intentions are offered for him. Folks at the Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge, MA are praying for him, and this request has been placed on Mother Teresa's tomb in Calcutta. That is only a few, but I wanted you to know. Sorry I couldn't e-mail this before. I was gone to CT for three days. but right after I got your e-mail, I contacted oodles of people and I've gotten oodles of responses, even from Spain. Wow what a network God has, huh.
